WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PICKUP IN SAN DIEGO AND PICKUP IN TIJUANA?

San Diego: Single pick-up and drop-off location within central (i.e. downtown, airport, Old Town Trolley station, etc.) San Diego.

Tijuana US-MEXICO Border (Pedeast): For travelers arriving from the US, our driver picks you up on the Mexico side of the San Ysidro US-MEXICO Border . The drop-off location is at the San Ysidro US-MEXICO Border pedestrian crossing. After drop-off, you'll walk back across by foot, which typically takes 45 minutes or longer. Pedeast is located at 795 East San Ysidro Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92173. Detailed instructions on how to cross will be provided after booking.

Tijuana: Single pick-up and drop-off location in Tijuana, available from any hotel or Airbnb.

Rosarito: Single pick-up and drop-off location in Rosarito, available from any hotel or Airbnb.

Valle de Guadalupe: Single pick-up and drop-off location in VDG, available from any hotel or Airbnb.

HOW DOES ROUND TRIP US PICK UP AND DROP OFF WORK?

Enjoy a secure and smooth round trip with our private transportation service. Your dedicated driver will conveniently pick you up at a central location in San Diego, like downtown or Old Town Trolley, and transport you across the border to either meet your transportation or join our all-inclusive tour. Post-tour, you'll be dropped off to meet your private driver who will take you back to San Diego, utilizing the medical lane for a speedy crossing, usually completed around 30 minutes depending on lane traffic. Each guest will be provided a Fast Pass ($50/person value) for use of the medical lane upon return.

CAN I BRING ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AND SNACKS?

When departing from San Diego you can bring alcoholic drinks or snacks but cannabis is strictly prohibited. We have a ZERO tolerance policy. 

CAN WE REQUEST PICK UP IN A DIFFERENT AREA?

We can accommodate pickup and drop offs in San Diego, Tijuana, Rosarito, Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe.

IS THERE A NUMBER OF WINERIES WE ARE ALLOWED TO GO TO DURING THE TIME OF OUR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES?

You can go at your own pace and leisure. However, we estimate, at least 1 hour and a half at each winery plus 30 minutes commute between each winery. Expect 2 hours per winery.

HOW DOES THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER CROSSING WORKS

Border Crossing San Diego - Valle

Crossing the border from San Diego to Tijuana usually takes around 15-30 minutes. You'll go through Mexican customs with your driver by car or by foot. Valid documents like a passport or passport card required. Additionally, you may be required to fill out the Multiple Immigration Form (FMM)

Border Crossing MX - SD

Crossing the border from Tijuana to San Diego usually takes around 1 hour or more, unless you select the Fast Pass option. You'll pass through U.S. customs with your driver by car or by foot. Valid documents like a passport or passport card required.

HOW DO I GET TO THE BORDER? (PEDEAST)

Multiple transportation options are available to reach the border:

1. Driving & Parking: It takes 20 to 30 minutes to drive from downtown San Diego to the San Ysidro border. Recommended parking is at 795 East San Ysidro Boulevard (Pedeast), located behind Jack in the Box, closest to the border entrance.

2. Taxi/Rideshare: Easily take a taxi or rideshare program (Uber/Lyft) to the border, specifying the destination as the “PedEast” border entry at 795 East San Ysidro Blvd, San Diego, CA 92173. Prices vary based on distance and ride type.

3. Public Transportation - Trolley: The Blue Line Trolley is a convenient and cost-effective option, with the San Ysidro Transit Center as the last stop. Head south, following signs to Mexico. Visit www.sdmts.com for more information.

4. Public Transportation - Bus: While the bus doesn't have a direct route to PedEast, details can be found on www.sdmts.com or www.maps.google.com (select "transit" icon).

Clear instructions will be provided before the tour, including the meetup location. Walking into Mexico can take 15-30 minutes and involves presenting your valid passport and meeting the guide after passing through the turnstiles on the Mexico side.

HOW DOES THE FAST PASS WORK?

The Tijuana to San Diego Fast Pass is included when booking our US pickup and drop off transportation services, and ensures a convenient and expedited border crossing experience. Valid documents like a US passport are required. Please note that fast pass availability and details may vary, and one week advance notice is needed for the request. The fast pass lane operates from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.
